Milan was bred by Unlimited Stables in Holland and sold as a foal to Rom Vermont.

She is by the super sire Diamond Hit. In 2002 he became Vice World Champion and Vice Bundeschampion of five-year old dressage horses. A year before, he was Oldenburg Vice Champion and Vice Bundeschampion of four-year old stallions. At the 2001′ Bundeschampionat he was especially awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture for being the best licensed and performance-tested stallion. In 2005 he was proclaimed VTV-Dressage Stallion of the Year on the occasion of the Oldenburg Stallion Days. Then, he competed successfully up to international grand prix level. In 2012, Diamond Hit retired from sport in a stirring atmosphere during the Oldenburg Old Stallion Parade.

As a 3yo Milan was presented at the Stamboekkeuring (KWPN mare test) where she achieved high scores of 80 for conformation, 80 for Movement, 80 for Walk, 85 for Trot, 80 for Canter and 80 for Posture. As a result of this she was awarded a Voorlopig Keur and qualified for the NMK Final in Ermelo where she came 8^th out of the top mares in Holland that year. Since then she was awarded an D-OC predicate based on her excellent x-rays and genetic profile which makes her a very appealing mare to breed from.

Milan arrived with us in November 2020 after being backed. Under saddle she is extremely smart and finds the work very easy. Her competition career got off to an excellent start in 2021 winning a Shearwater 4yo qualifier where she then went on to achieve a top 10 placing at the semi-final qualifying for the final at the National Dressage Championships. Milan is currently training medium at home and will be competing this summer.

Like all our mares she has a lovely, kind temperament and enjoys lots of cuddles.
