Heartbreaker Forever

Fiji is where the love of breeding first started and the first foal to arrive at Heartbreaker Stud. She is the first daughter of our foundation, Hanoverian broodmare Fendi inheriting her wonderful temperament and beautiful head. Fiji has 3 super uphill, elastic paces. She had great success from an early age on the Elite foal tour being awarded a 9 for movement and given premium status by the British Hanoverian Horse Society.

Fiji’s lines are full of Grand Prix horses. She is by the exciting son of Fidertanz, Foundation who is successfully competing at Grand Prix under Mattias Rath. Her dam sire Furstenball needs no introduction having produced 90 licensed sons and has a reputation for breeding exceptional temperament and rideability.

In 2019 we took an embryo from Fiji where she produced an outstanding filly by Lestingdale. We were so impressed by her foal that we lightly backed her and then put her back in foal for a repeat breeding.  I felt that she was still rather weak and would benefit from another year to mature and grow before starting her career under saddle. Yet again she produced another super foal but this time a colt and we are so pleased with him. She stamps them with her stunning looks and they have both inherited her good walk, quick hind leg and huge freedom of shoulder.

Fiji is now under saddle and is looking to be a very exciting competition horse for the future. She is proving to be very trainable with exceptional movement under saddle. She has great ability to collect and lengthen as well as bold and willing in her work. Having only been under saddle for 6 weeks she attended her first competition achieving 4th place and 73%+ in a BD Shearwater 5yo Young Horse Qualifier piloted by the talented young rider Ruth Hole. Zoe has now taken over the ride and is looking forward to producing her up the levels.
